About Us

We had an idea, before wearables were a thing. Wearable wasn't even a word - it was 2005!

We didn't know what we were doing so we spoke to people, lots of people, professors of kinesilogy, ergonomists, human-factors specialists, manual handling trainers, regulators and eventually thought we knew what we needed to do. Three years later, we had something that we thought might be useful for clients. That was BACK-TRACK 1.0 and it proved the concept. Clients liked it and implimented it.

Since then, we have figured out what works, what doesn't work, incorporated additional technologies as they've become available (such as low power gyroscopes) and most importantly, learned what clients actually need to reduce MSD injuries.

Fundamentally, it's about

  • raising awareness of risk and motivating individuals to engage in their wellbeing so that their back stays healthy and strong.
  • keeping it simple.
  • making data easily accessible and understandable.
  • simple (and minimal) administration for supervisors.
  • ensuring the client is recognising the value of the BACK-TRACK system.
  • continous ongoing support.
  • growth via reputation rather than hard sell (we don't have any sales people!).

In January 2022, we will launch BACK-TRACK 3.0. It's an awesome product. The amazingly talented BACK-TRACK team has worked tirelessly to acheive this and I am very grateful to them all.
